April 2010 pictures of the kids

No news is good news!

It has been awhile since my last post. Nothing major to update. Just looking forward to the summer and enjoying the spring weather. We have been going to the park a lot, and now Derian has an obsession with collecting bugs. There are 4 tupperware containers in his room with rolly pollies, spiders, ants, and some kind of fat worm with a big red butt. We are still not sure what the heck it is. We went to the park yesterday and he wanted to capture a baby duck to bring home and raise as his own. Not sure where this is all going. 2 years ago he was terrified of bugs in general. Mia even has a tupperware of rolly pollies in her room. They insist on keeping their ceiling fans on during the day so their animals can get air. For all you PETA people, yes, I know this is bad!!! I like them being one with nature, but am still trying to get them to understand that they are invading these bugs homes. Plus, I do not want these things in my house!!! I already told Derian that if I have to pay for an exterminator, it was coming out of his college fund. Our fish are doing fine as well. Here are some recent pictures from Easter.

Spring Break 2010

Well, Spring Break has officially begun. I took the week off to spend with my little monkeys. Unfortunately Greg is going to Atlanta for training, so we are on our own. We're still uncertain what the week has in store for us. We are going to take it day by day.

Day 1 - We stayed around the house and cleaned. Derian didn't get home from his dad's until 3pm so Mia and I went grocery shopping and finished up the laundry.

Day 2 - The kids each got a new fish. Derian named his Sonic and Mia named hers Dora. The kids also went to the dentist today! Mia has a clean bill of health. Derian, on the other hand, had 2 cavities. We were very shocked by the news. He is having them filled on April 8th.

Day 3 - We went to the Science Museum with Kelley and Kynli. We had a blast! The kids were very well behaved (which is a huge accomplishment for my little fighters in public). At the end of the day, Derian bought a crystal (which he has not stopped talking about) and Mia bought rocks for her fish tank.

Yes , that is Derian. He was the ONLY older kid dressed up, and leave it to him to get caught in the web. We couldn't help but laugh!!
