The kids can skate!!!!!!
The kids and I left for Trinity, Texas on Sunday afternoon to visit Gibby. I hate that she is alone and so far away this time of year...or anytime for that matter. We had a great visit that ended far too soon. We came home Wednesday. Her dog, Sugar, was recently diagnosed with cancer, so Gibby was back and forth to the vet the majority of our stay. The kids had no problem finding something to do. We bundled up and took their new skates for a spin. Derian had never been on roller blades before, and took to them like he was born on them. Mia also did very well on her skates. She had a few falls.....thank God she has mommy's big bottom :) I must say, she did very well considering she is only 4.
My nieces first Christmas!
Just had to post these adorable pics of my little nieces first Christmas.
Kynli is 2 months & Makenzie is 4 months.

Christmas 2009
Well, another Christmas has come and gone. December got here so fast. We were so excited to put the tree up and now....we are sadly taking it down. The kids had a wonderful holiday. They were both out of school for 2 weeks. That made their day. We started the holiday off by going to my Aunt Kim's house on Christmas Eve. We had a blast..as usual. The downer of the evening was the drive home. What a pain in the neck. The ice was horrible and everyone else's driving was even worse. What would normally take us 45 min to drive took us almost 2 hrs. Oh well, we made it home in one piece and were able to get the kiddos to sleep just before Santa arrived :) My mom spent the night with us, so her and I stayed up and drank hot chocolate waiting to see Santa. Sadly, we fell asleep, too. Christmas Day was a busy one. We had our Christmas at home, then went to my in-laws, and then back home for Christmas dinner with my immediate family. Here are a few pictures. Hope your holidays were just as special!

Santa's Village
This past Saturday, we all decided to go to Santa's Village in Richardson. This year was especially cool because of our new additions....Makenzie & Kynli. Except for the cold and the crowd, the evening went really well. Santa and Mrs. Clause arrived by fire truck! All the girls had their noses painted red at Rudolph's house. (Derian said he was too old for this)
Diaper Cake #1
Mom and I decided to venture into the great unknown....Diaper Cakes. Her co-worker had a shower last week. Luckily, she is not finding out the gender, so we could really use our creative minds on this one. This project turned out to be a lot of fun and a bonding experience for us both! We are ready to make another and currently taking orders! :)
Derian's trophy
Well, since last season, a lot has changed with Derian's soccer team. Now that they are in the Under 9 division, they keep score, enforce offsides, and more players on the bigger field. The Tigersharks did great this season placing 4th out of 10. Can't wait until Spring 2010.

It snowed!
Mia's 1st trophy!
Today, we went to Raising Canes for Mia's soccer party. The Roadrunners were full of energy and french fries! She was so excited to get her trophy. That is all she could talk about all week. Ever since her last game when she scored 3 goals, she has been all about soccer. Anyone that knows how the beginning of the season started never saw this coming. She LOVES it now. I am so glad she has finally come around.

Greetings!
For my first blog entry, I wanted to have some spectacular story to tell or at least something to make readers want to keep reading. So far, I have nothing, which is really rare for me. I ALWAYS have something to say. It is really late, but once I got started editing this darn thing, I wanted to see the finished product with some substance. So this is my substance. At least I did what I set out to do! I will update this again, and again, and again....so check back soon! Next time I promise to include a picture or two!
