Spring Break 2010

Well, Spring Break has officially begun. I took the week off to spend with my little monkeys. Unfortunately Greg is going to Atlanta for training, so we are on our own. We're still uncertain what the week has in store for us. We are going to take it day by day.

Day 1 - We stayed around the house and cleaned. Derian didn't get home from his dad's until 3pm so Mia and I went grocery shopping and finished up the laundry.

Day 2 - The kids each got a new fish. Derian named his Sonic and Mia named hers Dora. The kids also went to the dentist today! Mia has a clean bill of health. Derian, on the other hand, had 2 cavities. We were very shocked by the news. He is having them filled on April 8th.

Day 3 - We went to the Science Museum with Kelley and Kynli. We had a blast! The kids were very well behaved (which is a huge accomplishment for my little fighters in public). At the end of the day, Derian bought a crystal (which he has not stopped talking about) and Mia bought rocks for her fish tank.

February Winter Storms

I am about a month late in posting this but better late than never, right???? We had a huge snow storm on Feb. 11 & 12th. We had 10 inches of snow at our house. Many places had over 12. I was so glad the kids got to see snow like this at home rather than planning a vacation to go and see it. Snow is not my favorite part of winter. In fact, I don't really associate snow and vacation at all!!!  The kids had fun building a snowman, having snowball fights with Uncle Ryan, and oh...did I mention school was closed! Other than Derian's scare of frost bite on his fingers (he is so dramatic...not sure where that comes from!) we had a great winter.
